During the Specle Pro we convert all the images you supply to the specific profile of the publication you are delivering to. This saves you the worry of creating individual colour converted files for each title.
For the best results you should prepare all images to the ISO Coated v2 (download the profile attached to this page below).
Then you can Install ICC profiles on your computer.
• Converting to ISO Coated v2
Take the images from your ad into Photoshop, select Convert to Profile from the Edit menu in Photoshop. Make sure you do not select Assign Profile as this is not the same thing and will not convert the colour correctly. A screen will pop up: select ISO Coated v2 from the dropdown named Destination Space.
• Using the IDML template
To set up your page to the correct size, all you have to do is go to the publication you are sending an ad to, find the size you have booked and click on the id Template button. This will download a template of the exact size you need to create your ad in. Click on it, it will open in InDesign. Copy and paste your content into this document.
• Exporting to the right Adobe PDF Export Setting
Once you have used the IDML template use Specle_Newspaper_Pro_v1 if you are exporting a file for a newspaper and Specle_Magazine_Pro_v1 if you are exporting a file for a magazine. These profiles set ISO Coated v2 as the output intent in preparation for the Specle Pro service.
To install the Adobe PDF presets, download the Specle_Newspaper_Pro_v1 and Specle_Magazine_Pro_v1 attached below and to import those preset into Adobe InDesign choose File > Adobe PDF Presets > Define then click on Load.
