Generally for Magazine print, your artwork will need to be supplied with Crop Marks. The marks help the printer determine where to trim the paper, align separation films when producing proofs, measure film for correct calibration and dot density, and so on. Effectively, it’s a quality control mechanism. Added within the design stage, the marks are essential to guiding and informing the printer.
Any issues with the Crop Marks are flagged in the pre-flight report as the following error:

How to fix Crop Marks
Please ensure that crop marks is ticked - under Marks and Bleeds - and that the crop mark offset is set to 5mm when exporting:
